    KOTOR Yavin Mission on Xbox

Is there anyone I can get to play this misson on the Xbox without Xbox live?

Is there anywhere I can download and transfer it onto my xbox as it? As my xbox is chipped.

    Thanks

In theory you can just copy the file onto a memory card (or your PC with this product ) from another Xbox onto yours. I don't know if it would work but the download is definitely saved as a seperate block on my Xbox next to the standard save game.

Most saved content including saved games (when the game doesnt support memory cards ala Ninja Gaiden) are signed to only load on that specific Xbox IIRC. I'd be very surprised if download content (even if its free) can be transferred to another Xbox.

But don't many games that don't support memory games can still save to the memory card copying the file from the Xbox dash to the card without a game inserted?

I remember doing this for a customer in the store I work in when their Xbox wouldn't load games but wanted to keep their saves.
The old saves definitely saved to the card and transferred fine to the new Xbox. I can't say for certain the games weren't memory card compatible, but I'm sure most weren't.

I have direct experience of this stuff (as of this weekend).

I have a new Crystal Xbox and am trying to transfer all of my save games to it, so I can decomission my old v1 Xbox (which will be redeployed as a DVD / Divx media player).

Some saves have a flag in them disallowing copying, and some saves are keyed to your particular Xbox. Kotor has both, so my new Mega-X-Key 32mb is no help here.

So! thinking myself a clever git, I decided to use the Mechassualt hack to load an emergency Linux and ftp all the save games to my PC and then boot emergency linux on my Crystal xbox and ftp them back.

Most downloadable content (including Yavin on Kotor) says it's corrupt, as some googling reveals that the Xbox "keys" or signs the downloads using unique info from your xbox. Those DLCs that allow copying to a [big enough] memory card, apparently are de-keyed by the memory-card manager part of the dashboard when copy is selected.

No problem there, as I just download the stuff again (alright it's a pain, as I have maps for RS6, Ghost Recon, Kotor; Splinter Cell v1 seems okay, though).

The only way I think I can sort out my Kotor saves I'm guessing, is to re-sign the Kotor saves, which I intend to do tonight or tommorow.

Whether you can resign DLC, is a tricky on to answer, as in the case of Kotor it stores it in TDATA and not UDATA where all the saves are, so who knows whether the signing procedure is different for Live?
