Mod chip for dreamcast -playing imported games

A friend in the USA has got hold of a European dreamcast game they really wanted, yet they're not sure how to play it. (obviously he owns a US Dreamcast). Is there a modchip available so he can do this? Or is there a disc swap method they can use?

Yes and yes. You can download and burn a bootdisk, or buy the best one on the market (the DC-X - although r@rish in America). You can also fit a modchip so you don't have to disk-swap.

I hope I'm allowed to discuss this...it's hardly as if it's about pirating games, but where can you download this and burn it? And where can I buy the DC-X from?

However, if you give me a PM, I should be able to make you a disc with Utopia on which seems to run all games fine from any region!

Thanks v much for the offer nips. However I've just ordered DC-X from lik sang for only ?8 (thanks for the advice halo) and my friend would prefer legitimate/boxed type thing instead of a burnt CD. That should sort him out!

DC-X is far superior anyways. Utopia is excellent for a freebie, but go with DC-X every time.
