    1. Luck.

    2. Don't use an express carrier.

Those are my pearls of wisdom for today. Please use them wisely. ;op

Personally, imported 8 times and have been stung twice for a total of ?68.

Others may disagree, but I believe to avoid getting stung your destiny relies in the hands of the gods.

Yesasia.com - if you order over $50 worth of goods, shipping is free & they reship from within the UK, so no extra charges.

Lik Sang help you out as well. If you order stuff not exceeding US$ 100,- in one order, choose Global Priority as shipping option (which is cheap, but takes usually up to about 12 days to arrive in Europe from Hong Kong) and they seem to reship it from Germany (methinks, cause there's always a European return address sticker on the parcel). I've never had to pay import duties when going with Global from Lik Sang.

                Here are the details:

I just email them and ask them to label it as a Sample. I've done it 3 times and all 3 times avoided customs. Got my package in less than a week, with the bubble envelope (cheapest shipping).

                    Another tip

Dont order too many things together which mean they can't mark it down that easily.

And avoid playusa.com for DVD boxset

Like others have said minimise your orders and avoid couriers.

I ordered 10 GBA games from play-asia and got them sent in multiples of 2 using the Economy Box. It cost a few quid more, but better to pay them than get stung by HM Customs.
