Ikaruga on the US Gamecube
Is it actually out yet?
I ordered mine from DVD Boxoffice a month ago and the release date was on the 16th April but I've had no confirmation that they've sent it as yet.
Anyone else know or are in the same boat as me?

Me too. I wouldn't expect to recieve it for at least 7-10 days after release with dvdboxoffice though.

Boy was I wrong. As soon as I booted the game up I was greeted by black borders on each side of the screen. Is this someone's idea of a joke? ... his game shouldn't have been released until these obvious major bugs and glitches had been removed.

In Ikaruga you play as some little ship-thingy, and for some reason the screen doesn?t stop moving. That is so cheap!!

I suppose it?s my fault for not being more observant, if I had been, I would have realized that Atari made this game. Yes, I said Atari.

The sad thing about this review is that when Ikaruga comes out in the UK I bet that half the people who buy it will agree with the review. I reckon this could be the most returned game ever, partly due to its difficulty and partly down to the "obvious flaws this reviewer has found".
Possibly the worst review I have ever read, but what more would you expect from the boys on gamefaqs?
Anyhow, he is HARDCORE. He has played FF7 after all.

True but usually on the day of release of a game they send an E-mail confirmation saying that they've sent it and I've not got one of those E-mails as yet...

Dr Nemo is a legend (Ikarumba !!!), that review is hilarious. My flatmate, who thinks he's a bit hardcore (Secret of Mana is his favourite game of all time, he must be), had exactly the same reaction to the game. Very funny.

He gave the graphics a 1 because they werent 3D!!!! Classic.

The bit that got me though was this,

The word on the web was that this game is a ?shooter?, or a ?shuddumup? for people like me in the loop. Let me make this clear now, people on the web are LIARS!! This game is nothing like Halo. Where are the 3D graphics, scary monsters and big guns. Not in this game my friends. I?m not sure what the heck you would call this game, but it?s not a shooter.

That's definitely a wind-up. Quite funny that he's obviously trying to bait a few people on there I suppose. His statements are just too cliched to be anything other than a crafty bugger trying to raise some hell amongst the Ikaruga fans.
