I'm also really interested in knowing if it's region free, so I'll shamelessly bump this.

I sent a mail to a store in Stockholm which has the US version in stock and all I got back was a "we have no information regarding this subject" kind of reply. Just put it in a machine and try it will ya!

Alright there guys just joined this great forum and seen i could help you out on this one. Tried my american version on my mates pal xbox over the weekend and am sorry to say its not region free. Its a great game i recommend it highly but its very hard
