bored so i'm playing through halo once again, on the silent cartographer level but you can do this on any.

kill an enemy and look down at his corpse, smack him repeatedly with the butt of your gun, watch in amazement as the game begins to crawl.

noticed this when i first got the game and used to bitchslap elites for causing me trouble. just thought it was interesting it was this easy to make the game slowdown.

Yeah I used to do that all the time. Someone will probably come along with an answer in a while, looks like it has something to do with the effect on the blood though

It would really piss off people when I did it in 2 player co-op when they were in a massive battle

I imagine its just because every smack leaves some blood, and so every time you hit him your adding a new texture layer, and they all pile up, I dont think the game dynamicly removes them either so eventualy its going to run short on memory and start falling over.

thats my best guess.
