Counterstrike - what do I need

I want to play counter strike opn the PC. What exactly fo I need for this

Do I need hal life and then the mod or is there a download that I can get just for counter strike. I am not bothered about Condition Zero, I just want to try the original online

You can buy the old Counterstrike as a standalone game, that's how I've got it installed. Probably cheap as chips these days. You'll need to track down the latest patch, then you're sorted.

From what I gather it's only readily available as part of this pack. That's not to say you can't just buy CS on it's own as Stu did, it just isn't readily available AFAIK. The pack will also get you sorted with Half Life too which you need if I've read your post correct.

Buy Half Life and register the key on Steam

Then you can download CS/DOD/TFC etc etd
