Without knowing what TV or cables you're using at the moment thats a pretty difficult question to answer.

    Have a look here...

You got SCART cables with your consoles? Now there's a first.

If your TV supports RGB through the SCART input then no, you won't need a new TV.

You got SCART leads yes - but these standard cables are just composite phono connected to a SCART block. You need to buy RGB SCART cables for all your consoles or you are wasting their image quality.

SCART is a connector with 21 pins - it's a versatile connector which allows many different display options. People mistake SCART for some sort of TV image standard, it is not - it's just the name of the connector. Do away with those standard cables and buy RGB cables for all your machines, playing in composite is a complete waste.

As a rule PAL consoles don't come with SCART leads, they come with Composite leads with a SCART adaptor so you can feed the composite video signal into a SCART socket.

Basically if your TV supports NTSC 3.58 then you can plug any import console into it through either Composite, S-Video or RGB and it'll work fine. If however your TV doesn't support NTSC 3.58 then you'll need to use a proper RGB SCART Cable for your import machines. As above though these aren't the cables that come with the console but are sold as optional extras.

The cable that comes with consoles is just a bog-standard composite cable with an adaptor to use them via a SCART socket. This is not the same as a SCART cable wired for RGB which will give you far better picture quality.

For PS2 you can get one as cheap as ?5 (Logic 3 one from Argos). For the GC, you can get a ?5 Venom one or go for the official RGB cable.

                      Test it.

Buy an RGB cable for ?5 or so, plug it in - select AV1, if it works - you're in business. That Gamecube one is only like ?7 too - get yourself one and take advantage of decent image quality as opposed to the ugly blurryness of composite.

I'm sure your TV supports RGB - only seriously old and crap TVs dont.
