Have a lap top and having recently getting broad band have downloaded lots of ****. It's now not running a sfast (Due to memory stuff I guess) but also seems more prone to crashing.

where do I go to get the best online virus check ?? Is there such a thing ??

Also want to get my iBook G5 fitted with the airport wireless card - any good, and cheap online sellers ??

Typed 'online virus scan' into Google and got pages of them. Id take a look at a known one like McAfee - try here - http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...k,G0001,00.asp

yeah i recommend that one or

      http://housecall.trenmicro.com (makers of pc-cillin) - personal fave

      or

The best antivirus protection for all your devices: Don't be a target! Join the next generation of digital protection

ive used symantec before (makers of norton software) but tbh, its rather ****e, its takes by far the longest to scan for infection, only to tell you after to buy norton anti virus... no removal/disinfecting options, pffft

I recommend http://www.grisoft.com/ AVG Free Edition, its a free virus checker and is what I use at home.

also run spybot or ada-ware to remove any spyware stuff as that can also make it slow down

            This is a test adaware.

Damn it to buggery, I'm ridden with pop-ups and to cap it all off when I want to download adaware, I end up being redirected to spy assasin. This **** is evil. Plus my browser has started inserting links into pages.

How do I kill all of this dead.
