connecting uk consoles to a projector

Finaly decided that i NEED a projector to get over the disappointment of my crappy 36" tv that got sent back......... only thing is ive narrowed it down to the z2 or ptae500 (idealyi want the z2 but has some coonection issues)

my dvd player is sorted its going via component cables, but for the time being im stuck with uk consoles (cube/ps2 and xbox) if i use the different consoles component leads on a uk console what type of picture will it display, will it be rgb? svideo or composite?

or even better some1 tell me how to connect the consoles to the z2 the best.... heres the connections i have at the back of it

    and specs

    Inputs
    video, composite, RCA
    video, S-Video
    video, component, 3 RCA
video, VGA, mini D-sub 15 pin
video, SCART-RGB (through SCART to VGA adapter)
    service, mini-DIN 8 pin

You should include the Hitachi TX100 in that list.

The Z2 can take RGB through the DVI port. You need to buy a special cable, but most people say it gives the best picture.

The projector forum on the avforums has alot of Z2 and AE500 owners on it, you should be able to find a better answer from owners themselves.

others have said that, ive seen both of these running and like the z2 then ptae500 in that order, nowhere near me has the hitachi to demo and me being impatient and all that (must admit if i went on looks id buy the hitachi as the case is much sexier, may have to search the net for some reviews/screenshots ..............

      cheers

The TX100 uses the same panels as the Z2 but has much better optics. I haven't seen either of them in action but most people prefer the Tx100. Theres a german roundup of the Z2, AE500, TX100 and the sony HS20. Its easy to understand once it goes through babelfish and goes through all aspect of the projectors. I can't find it now but its somewhere in the LCD/DLP projector forum.
