I downloaded a DJ programme the other day and i can't figure how you adjust your sound card to enable you to pre listen one song on your speaker, while listening to the next one in the headphones?

Can anyone help a dumb **** please,

it depends on the programme ur using, windows itself cannot be configured to allow "monitoring"

pcdj for example will allow for mono "monitoring" using the left channel as an external speaker, and the right channel for "cuing-up etc" in your headphones.obviously a sound card with left and right channels is needed(onboard is no good, only one stereo output).otherwise you require 2 sound cards, and basically setup the programme to use primary card as external output and secondry for monitoring...

i currently have 2 x soundblaster live 5.1 digitals for my setup, although a simple soundcard in conjunction with onboard will work fine, all depends on how much you wanna spend, and what quality hardware you want to use...

one thing to mention though is some older motherboards have problems allocating resources with more than 1 soundcard... so its a case of trial and error...hope this helps

Yamaha SYXG 70 ?, is that an actual hardware device? not come across it before, google doesnt throw much information up either

essentially, you need 2 seperate soundcards, or one that has both a left & right stereo channel,
