I've been involved in a thread over at AVForums.com about playing PAL games on Live at 480P.
Basically, with my new XBox (Halo/MM3 pack bought at Christmas), official Hi-Def pack bought at Christmas and Xecuter2.2 Lite I can set the XBox to be NTSC then turn the Mod Chip off. I can then select 480P/720P/1080i in the dashboard and enjoy all PAL games running at 480P on my projector and play on Live just fine.
When I had my original launch day XBox with a Matrix chip I did the same thing but most titles from Midtown Madness 3 / Enter The Matrix onwards would not load with the XBox set to NTSC.
There is a guy on AVForums saying pretty much the same thing - you have to patch a PAL games then play a copy / HDD version with the Mod Chip on to get 480P.
So, I know this is not the case for me, does anyone know why this is?
Thanks for your time
