    Internet Explorer Going Crazy

Yeah i've just rebooted my machine, and now when i click on a link that that has the function to open a new window or my right clicking and going open link in new window. It opens the browser but it doesnt do anything it just sits there. I have no anti-pop up software or anything like that. Any ideas how to fix it?

You may need to copy shortcut/paste into a new browser to view that link btw :P

Another vote for the 'Fox here, seems a lot more stable to me than IE... which is sad considering it's not even at version 1 yet.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help...

Same here. I've started using Firefox and found its pretty good.

No more annoying pop ups ( so far ) and a lot more functional that my copy of IE (ie:- when I tell it to clear the history it actually does it and doesn't requirer a washer program).

Slightly OT, but does anyone find FireFox to be a bit slow at loading images? It's ****-hot at rendering text-based HTML pages, but anything with pictures just seems to have the placeholders on show for a lot longer than IE did.

Yes, I've noticed this too. I considered going back to IE because of it, but all the other time-savers like tabbed browsing make me still use FF.

I think it's just the way it prioritises the loading process. Tbh, I like the way it'll load text first. Makes it easier on my 56k, cause then I can just hit stop if I don't care about the pics. Plus tabbed browsing = omfg.
Although you could try MyIE2 if you're not happy with Firefox. Personally I prefer Firefox, though.

I've kinda fixed the problem i've restored my old ie setup so i've basically down graded it. I think it was basically ****ed up when i had to remove some adware that my little manage to let slip onto my machine. It decided to attatch itself to ie and i got some icon now floating around on the ie toolbar. So i had to manually remove it, because when i went to add/remove programs it wasn't on the list. So now its like half assed deleted just wondering anyone know of a program that deletes files that are lying around your computer that have no .exe's or whatever that are associated to them. (I already know system mechanic it doesn't run very well on my box)
