Resetting Evolution: Eternal Dungeon (NGPC)

Does anyone know how to reset or restart this game from scratch? I cant seem to find anything in the manual. Also, since there doesn't seem to be a walk thru, does the game start off with a battle??? I find it rather strange that a game starts without no intro....

When you get to the title screen and press A, it should ask "new game" or "continue". As for the start, yes you do get launched into a fight straight away. I got my copy of this new (ie. completely unplayed) and it surprised me a bit too.
