    Cornering in PGR2

The only frustrating thing about this game is that I find it very hard not to crash round every single corner. All I'd like to know is what the best way of taking corners is, without completely slowing down and braking, as when I'm on Xbox Live no-one does that. I never have trouble with other racing games, but I'm just so crap at this.

    Thanks!

Just follow the tire marks on the road They usually give the best route around corners and give you an idea on how much to brake. As for playing online, just try to keep out of the way of the people who don't believe in using the brake button and cut inside them once they've hit the barrier

Handbrake is horrible, it makes me go so much slower. Also if you break down properly for each corner its just so much faster. Like proper racing.

        Look at these handy diagrams.

Oh and here is a handy link about corners

So how long did it take you to draw that out?

Also another question-firstly when do the cars under covers in the showroom become available, and also why do I own half the cars from the paris booster pack if I never downloaded it?

Also, the track special cars, if I buy them can I use them anywhere on Xbox Live?

You mean the Premium Content cars, yes? If so, you can use them on any track, you aren't just restricted to Paris or Long Beach. You can also use them in any time trial, but not in the Kudos or Arcade modes.

Just as well, the new Radical SR3 has opened up the game for everyone again. Vroooooooom!

With regard to cornering, I think it depends on the car, such is the diversity of the handling in the game. For cars that understeer loads, I use a touch of handbrake with the main brake. For the faster cars and all the RWD, I just use the normal break or a combination of breaking and acceleration. On Nurburgring for example, you only have to break at the really severe corners. The others you can just ease up a little on the 'ole gas and hammer it round.

As with real life I find the slow in (brake hard before the corner), turn in, clip the apex, fast out (accelerate as hard as poss as quickly as poss) the best route.
Find the handbrake a bit too unpredictable for shaving off those odd tenths/hundredths.
