Xenosaga Wont boot

Well it does occasionally but i find it a total pain in the arse to get it working. my jap ps2 is apparently modded with the hk messiah 2 which definetly has a problem with dvd-9.

i was just wondering if its possible to have this chip removed and have a much superior chip installed because i will eventually want to get xenosaga episode 2 (american) and thats most probably going to be dvd-9 aswell.

does it have a problem playing dvd-9 games? If it does, maybe its the laser rather than the chip.

if its an original game it shouldn't have any problem, it must be your laser, have you tried booting it in diagnostic mode, because this 'focuses' the laser and can help with problem games
