Is a megadrive 1 converter compatible with a megadrive 2

You mean PSU? Although they are basically the same voltage they have different plugs at the end, you could go to maplin and buy a multivoltage PSU and a plug that will fit and MD2...

You could just go out and buy an MD1, they aren't that expensive...

The Master System convertor for the Megadrive 1 won't fit on a Megadrive 2, you could open it up and remove the casing and then it will fit.... Else find the cartridge based on and that'll work on both machines.
