PC Protection Advice

I was wondering, can anyone recommend a firewall program to me thats actually preety good. I've been using blacke ice happily for two years but now people are easily busting through it so can anyone recommend something similar that i manually block people incoming and is pretty solid.

It's the one I use. Although some of the features such as web page filtering get deactivated after the trial period.

Zonealarm from Zonelabs.com was always pretty reliable for me, and probably the most well known of the free firewalls. Easy to set up and use also.

Run away from Zonealarm as you would if it were a man prodding you up the arse at a bus-stop. Perhaps they've sorted it now, but I installed it last year and it was bollocks.

I've used Zonealarm (free version) for about 2 years and it's great, IMO.

What Operating System was you using when you had problems with it?

I'll look into using Kerio Personal Firewall, zonealarm (which i tried about a year ago but didn't set it up properly and it kept on ****ing up) and sygate personal firewall. Thanks for your help, shame i can't access my colleges vpn server or i wouldn't have any problems at all.

Norton Internet Security. Possibly the best ?50 I ever spent on my PC.
