Quake 2

I picked up a cheap re release of quake 2 the other day, only to find its not compatable with XP, are there any patches etc to get around this?

What's wrong with it; I thought I had it working ok.

The Q2 engine hasn't been open-sourced yet, so no ports are available. The last official patch removed the copy protection; I've a feeling that you might be able to just copy all the files to the hard-drive, apply the patch and run it that way, as with Q1.

it works fine with xp. well it does with me anyways because i was playing it on my version of win xp pro
