Xbox live ICS trouble

i have ics on my usb adsl modem too and have no problems. dont forget that ics sets your network cards address to 192.168.0.1 automatically (i'm sure you could change it afterwards though). try setting the xbox to dhcp i've done that and it works fine (although i leave the xbox address statically set for when i'm ftp'ing)

as for DNS, i just enter the IP of whatever pc is running the connection sharing as that pc will be running dhcp, routing and dns server when ICS is enabled.

that way you don't need to keep changing the DNS address when your isp does, as your usb modem will be set to automatic dns

works for me and i've even got two pc's running ics and it's still fine for live and xbconnect (i have the usb modem shared, then a wap, then my laptop with wlan card and nic and the wlan card is shared too, and the xbox is connected to the laptop like this)
