xbox Outrun 2 - when?!

I cant wait much longer for this game, but cant seem to find any relatively concrete release dates on the net anywhere. So can anyone tell me when this game is due to be released, and if the PAL version is still due to be released first?

I've no idea tbh. Amazon have it down as 29th Oct for Pal but Game for example have no release date. So I think it's still up in the air...

i bet the jap version will be out first...although having said that, aren't the coders based in the UK? or does that not matter? probably not i guess...

The winter is going to be very tiring with all all these amazing games coming out for XBL. Outrun2 is going to be like Sega arcade heaven.

I think Microsoft need to supply some kind of energy pill with XBL. With my low energy level i`m gonna find it hard to dedicate much time to all the fantastic games coming out.

I emailed Sega a little while ago about the game and got some info:

-the current builds we have are playable at 50 or 60 [fps] - as the xbox dashboard allows you to set these, the game complies with the standard xbox functionality in this respect, and indeed also adheres to widescreen anamorphic settings we have on the current build - i.e. you see more of the track without the image being stretched if the console is set to this mode, as we had on our widescreen monitors at E3.

-it is a European developed title, but our intention is to ensure simultaneous global ship where practical.

-Sumo digital are only working on OutRun2 for us. [and not Virtua Cop 3, which I asked]

The Arcades down in weston are your best bet, I haven't been down their since January however they still had Scud Race in the Pier

The sooner this comes out on XBox the better...I've been playing the arcade for about 2 hours this afternoon and i now reckon i must have spent at least ?200 on it in the last 6 months or so.

I wouldn't mind but i've hardly touched Heart Attack mode yet and have been concentrating on Time Trial and Outrun modes. This game is so deep and rewarding. I'm now within half a second of the best time on the easy route and have a smattering of 1st places across the other routes although it doesn't seem like anyone concentrates on those much.

Is there a top quality steering wheel out for the XBox yet? With this and then Gran Turismo 4 on the horizon i think i'm going to treat myself to a couple of wheels and one of those "arcade style" chairs that you can buy. I just don't think that playing with pad is going to cut the mustard with this game.
