2nd hand console "void" sticker gunk removal

Friend of mine gave me his spare gamecube the other day but the place he got it from put a stupid void if removed sticker on the side of course can't have stuff like this ruining the gorgeous design of the cube so I pulled it off and it was one of those which leaves "VOID VOID VOID" behind when removed, now managed to just scratch those off but its left behind a sticky patch which i really don't want to become a filthy fluff and dust patch.
So anyone know whats the best way to remove this filth without damaging my cubes case?

    cheers

If all else fails the dab it with some aftershave etc and leave it to soak in for a couple of minutes.

It'll wipe off really easy and you'll be left with a lovely smelling console too.

I have always used a tiny amount of vegetable oil to remove stickers.
          Works a treat!

I just rub it with a cloth or me finger and it comes off easy enough

Dab the sticky stuff with the sticker. Normally works for me.

                  Don't forget to shout

"The power of Christ compels you, The power of CHRIST compels you"

                  as you do it.

I find it really does help

The VOID sticker he's talking about is really dificult to get off, it's not just the usual sticky gunk that's left from regular stickers.

Once peeled off the VOID sticker isn't sticky anymore, also, I don't think rubbing it with anything is going to make a blind bit of difference.

I remember aftershave OR Lynx not working the last time I tried removing some.

I bought some games off eBay that had these stickers on, from the same place too... they're a bitch to remove and they're intended to seperate, leaving crap behind. I don't think I ever got rid of the mess fully. Think it was some SMS carts...

How about some heatsink citrus cleaner? Removes grease, so why not sticky stuff? I haven't tried this and don't intend to, so don't come crying etc.
