    Fixing Samba De Amigo Maracas

I remember a thread a while back about fixing a set of Samba de Amigo maracas using some easily obtainable parts from the store. One of my maracas seems to not sense heigh propperly so if anyone could help I would be v greatful.

the store in question is Maplin I think. I bought the component from the shop in Preston, fitted it, and the Maraca worked better than the non-broken original.
Unfortunately, the other started acting funny and I think I ****ed the base, so left it. I can't remember the part number, but it was some kind of ultra sound senser

    hope this helps

Incidently, the part Ince mentioned can actually be used to replace the transducers in the third party controllers to improve them.

Nice one. Thanks. Any tips on installing them?

I have just swapped the sensors of one of the maracas for another and I have found out that the problem is not sensor related. I think I will need to open the maracas up to look inside. How do I remove those dodgy 6 way screws?

Update: I think I have managed to narrow the problem down to inside the maracas. I think that there is a loose wire inside of it but I cant open it to find out.
