As they are easier to fit to a Megadrive and Saturn, as you need to drill a hole and then fit them in and then tighten the nut...
Plus they are more tactile.

Even though the Toggle switches can look ugly placed round the back they aren't too much in view, plus they are the quickest to fit out of all of them. I could bang out a MD1 mod in less then 10 minutes...
