Toys'n'Joys - is there a bad retailer thread?

Got burned by this company once before, stupidly I assumed it was a mail problem and ordered from them again and the same thing has happened.

Previously I ordered an OOP PS2 title which they had listed at extortionate prices. Due to the high price I skimped on shipping and didn't get a tracking number. Package never arrived and all I got from them was one e-mail saying they would look into it.

So this time I ordered an OOP music CD at a low price, and due to previous experience I paid over the odds for insured/tracked shipping. Order confirmation comes through minus anything resembling an order number. Payment is taken, I wait two weeks and e-mail them to ask for tracking number. I got a response saying "This has been shipped. I will e-mail you the tracking number."... still waiting... if it really had been shipped why didn't they include the number in the first place? I think I'm being ripped off and I doubt they ever had the CD in stock in the first place.

They are the worst company I've ever dealt with online.

I found this with Import Madness. Whilst they sent the game, I paid for DHL Shipping and ended up waiting a week for the game. When asked for a tracking number, I received a similar response, which went along the lines of "The game has been shipped!".

I never received a tracking number and ultimately, the game was delivered via the regular post. First and last time I will ever deal with that "company".

I used Toys 'n' Joys about 3 years ago, and my stuff turned up ok.

I used them ages ago for a few rare DC games - no prbs apart from taking a bit of time to ship to me.

Only ordered once from them and never again.

Ordered a silver gameboy pocket backlight version. On the site it stated it was new & boxed.

After paying the extortionate shipping cost to get it to me i discovered that it was a second hand one that was unboxed & scratched & scuffed to hell plus it was even the wong colour they sent a gold one to me.

OK, well as I thought, at the time of me e-mailing them they hadn't shipped it at all. Obviously they did go and post it out after I contacted them, because Parcelforce attempted delivery yesterday.

I went along to the depot to collect, they said it's still out on the truck and come back tomorrow. I went back this morning, oh look they don't have it and have it down as being signed for. I just checked the web tracking and it shows as delivered. So much for being able to claim insurance, if the ****ing ****ty post over here mark things as delivered when they blatantly haven't been.
