Atari 2600 Question

hi
im thinking of buying one of these and was wondering how i could connect it up to the TV,can so buy an RGB scart lead or S-video lead for it or would i have to use RF

S-Video is possible as it Composite but it's not very easy as you need to make up a small circuit board, oh and different PCBs have slightly different signals so you'll have to adjust it dependent on board. Just be happy with the RF signal and be happy.

No thinking about it, get a Coleco and the Atari Adapter as you can get Composite a lot easier of the Coleco.

Or get a 7800, much better picture quality through RF with it, and it plays 99.9% of all 2600 games.

depends on the revision as I found some 7800s to be a worse picture then the 2600 via RF... ^_^;

Really? Hmmm... never seen that. If Atari had shielded the RF unit on all the versions of the 2600 they made and not just the initial 1976 heavy sixer model, then maybe it would be a moot point...
