PSU for AV Famicom

I'm getting a Japanese AV Famicom without a PSU. What is the required PSU like? I have a PSU for an American SNES and European NES and SNES. Would any of those work?

Er no, wrong connector (US) and wrong signal type (UK). It requires a 9V 1Amp DC supply Negative polarity. A Megadrive 1 PSU will work well or a trip to Maplins or Argos and buy a multivoltage PSU will do the job just as well.

Er yeah unless your a glutton for punishment and you want to run a Japanese Megadrive PSU via a stepdown.
