Hello all.
Just got my new Jpn X-Box and im going to order a UK psu for it but in the meantime i'm wondering if i can plug it in to my 100 watt stepdown?
In the import Faq it recommends a 150 watt stepdown,but does anyone here run one from a 100 watter,and if so is it okay?

I've never tried a 100w one, but I used to run mine on a 125w one with no problems.

I aksed similar question 6 months ago and was told ideally you need 120W to run a Xbox properly but it "should" run OK on a 100W one but a) gets very hot b) had a tendancy to cut out when the Xbrick was demanding lots of power.

Think your better buying a bigger one as I heard horror stories of "underpowered" stepdowns blowing up Xboxes.

Does anyone know what psu i need for a smoky Jpn X-Box. It seems there is a double connector and a single connector. I cant open it up until tonight and ideally wanted to order it today.
Im thinking all smoky ones would be of the same era so if someone else has one it will be the same

I have a Smoky Grey XB and use one that's 100 or 125 watt. Can't remember which. It never gets hot. As requested, I'll close the thread now.
