Ftp problem to my new XB.

    Hello all.
On my first modded X-Box i just had it on Media player on the tv,started up the Transmit program on my mac and it just connected.
This new one however, modded with an Alladin chip, wont let me connect. It also has an Ftp program on the X-Box itself which i didnt have before, and i tried entering the ip of my Mac in it,which it accepted, but that wont connect either.
Do i need to do both programs at the same time,in order that they connect,or am i just doing something wrong?
    (I know this is a bit vague,sorry)

Most likely situation, if it was ok before is the IP addresses are in a different range.

Check that the xbox has the same first three sets of numbers as your Mac, typically this would be 192.168.1.x

It could be that the Xbox was setup with a static IP that won't be seen on your LAN.

That sounds like it could be it.
The mac is 10.0.0.3 and the X-Box is 198.163.160.33,and it does say that its static on the X-Box,in the Network settings i think it was.
      How do i remedy it?
      Cheers

either change the Xbox address to 10.0.0.x or set the Xbox to non static - assuming there's a DHCP service running somewhere, it'll pick up an IP address in the right range.

Thanks a lot for the help Marty. Its going now. I activated the DHCP and it connected.
I owe you a pint mate. As you can probably tell im not much of a computer whizz-kid.
Somethings, avi's,mpeg's,etc wont upload, keep getting 'Error 135',and im not sure why as they uploaded on the last X-Box,and the,for instance, episode before and episode after, upload fine.
          Any ideas why?
          Thanks again

I would say probably due to the HD limit in character length of the file name which is smaller than that of supported optical media - but if they uploaded before then hmm. I'm not familiar with "error 135" it's likely app or Mac specific, but I'd say this is suspect. Try reducing the length.
