I know JPN Pikmin 2 has an option to have everything in English, I was wonderig whether the original Pikmin does too. If not, how playable is it to someone who has no knowledge of Japanese at all?

I finished pikmin in japenese with no knowledge, its mostly down to puzzles and doesnt require any text -
There's no English option, but it's quite straightforward to play once you get to grips with it.Comment

Learn Katakana and it's even more playable. Quite a lot of stuff is in Katakana in pikmin.Comment

There is no English option in Pikmin 2. If you mean the Action Replay code then it only translates the opening cut scene and that's pretty much it.
Regardless of that, i've had no problem playing through them in Japanese and i haven't even the slightest knowledge of Japanese text.Comment
