Not sure what he's been doing - but he did a track on one of the recent Streetfighter Anniversary soundtrack CDs (the one with the Daytona style Ryu choon etc - cant remember the title)

A great videogame composer - the SOR music indeed is excellent.

Just had a look on google and with an interview with the Gaming Intelligence Agency, Koshiro said this about the music in SOR:

Yuzo Koshiro - As for creating Streets of Rage, in those days I used to go to many dance clubs and love to listen a lot of dance musics. And I took those essences into the sounds and programmed eagerly to recreate for SEGA Genesis. SOR1's style is like house music, and SOR2's one is like hard-core techno. As both SOR covered many kind of dance musics, I figured out a new composing formula for SOR3, so called 'Automated Composing System' to create fast-beat techno like jungle

from what i remember he actually took the sound system for the megadrive and made it part of his sound studio

my fav tune was for streets of rage 2 and it was the baseball level
