What does this icon mean?

Just today I havestarted to get this icon when viewing the off topic forum here, no other sites.

What does it mean? Normally I just get the usual IE icon. I've cleared my cache (using Ctrl+F5) but it's still there!

It's the vbulletin icon.

You'll get a different icon for other sites (if they have one set up)

its a favicon.ico. it replaces the default IE icon for that site, most places dont use them though.

Like every program can have an icon, so can different websites.

Because favicon support is broken one way or another in just about every browser out there, probably.

Since I switched to Firefox (just last week - late to the party again) the whole of the NTSC-UK forums have that icon for me.

there are a few ways of doing favicons and err I don't like the Vbulletin one, but ntsc-uk.com don't really have a "square" logo to replace it...so its staying for now.

Thanks for that info guys, i didn't know about that. They seem easy to create, i made one and saved it as gif file but changed the extension to .ico seems be work fine. It looks **** thou!
