PAL GC on NTSC TV (live in Japan)

Can anyone tell me how I can get the best possible picture quality for my PAL Games out of either my PAL GC or a Japanese GC (using freeloader) on my Japanese NTSC TV (S-Video, Composite and Component 480i 520i D1 input).

Currently I am using a universal signal converter to convert PAL to NTSC but this converter only has SVideo and composite support and my cube being PAL only supports composite (yuk).

Is there any way to get a PAL GC to give a picture better than conerverted composite on an NTSC TV?

I believe your best bet would be to get a Gamecube component cable.

The image quality will be equal to RGB and you won't need to bother with the universal signal converter.
