    Is ?175 a good price ?
and would it be worth it as I only have my daughters PC to stick it in P4 1.8 gig with 512meg ram?

I don't mind spending ?175 if it will allow me to play games at a reasonable rate, but, I don't want to buy a new motherboard, cpu and ram if it isn't going to be able to keep up.

    any feedback would be great

My feeling is that your cpu would be the limiting factor with that card.

Best spend less and get something like a 9800 Pro or something.

Yeah but the 9800 seem to be around ?150 including vat and delivery, so I might as well spend another ?20 and get the X800 surely ?

Sounds too good to be true.

I just ordered a few 6800's because the x800's were too steep to consider
at ?300 a pop for the entry level one.

Radeon 9800 Pros are about ?125 delivered - see HERE.

Don't get me wrong - you have a good deal for the X800 there but you won't see anything above a 9800 Pro.

I'd go with the x800, that way if you upgrade your cpu later you can take better advantage of it, and also even on a "low end" processor such as a 3000+ the x800 is considerably better than a 9800.

hmm how much better though would you say ? 10fps 20fps or even great diffrence?
(say in games like x2 far cry ut2004)

Thanks for the replies, but I dont think I am going to have it as I have other things I need to buy at the moment, but if anyone wants it I can get it for you if you pay postage.
