Best program to create SVCD's with ?

Hi, tried a couple months ago, the converted files just came out massive, just want to convert AVI's to SVCD so my little boy can watch Bob The Builder in the car (aaahhhh)

Use TMPGEnc (http://www.tmpgenc.com/) to encode the video files, then use a program such as Nero to burn them to CD-R (make sure you select the SVCD option).

ta, is this the program I need ? "TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress Trial Version" or is it the DVD Author or one of the other ones ? thanks.

That's the one you need yeah.

thanks for your help Lyris, but the demo won't let me save the output file, do you have to use the full program ?

EDIT: found out how to save from the trial version
