Beat 'em ups for the GC

Whats the best beat em up for the GameCube? I don't care whether its 2D/3D (kinda prefer 2D but theres not much in it) and I already have Soulcalibur 2. There seems to be so many available for the PS2 but I haven't seen much for the GC. Are there any games about to come out that I should wait for?

    Thanks in advance.

Naruto Gekitou Ninjyataisen 2! Great little fighter - it's not serious at all, but it's plenty of fun. And Naruto 3 is out soon.

Even better if you watch the anime.

Naruto and Capcom vs SNK 2... that's really about it aside from SC2.

I think people assumed that he'd want good beat 'em-up recommendations.

Rather disappointing really. What about the XBox? All the really good ones seem to be PS2 but I really don't want to buy any more consoles.

Are there any converters available to allow GameCube controllers to be used with an XBox (for an SC2 stick)?

            Thanks

I am scoffing at you Corrupt Rose, if you think that SSBM isn't a decent beat 'em up, I despair for the forums.

From my memories of playing SSBM its not exactly what I'm looking for. It was quite enjoyable but I'm looking for a more standard beat em up

Theres a bloody roar game, its not great but it ain't bad and its probably dirt cheap now.

SSBM is amazing though, my favourite Gc beat em up. Of course theres always monkey fight.

I love SSBM, but only listed more "traditional" fighting games as opposed to this sort, as I figured that's what he was after

You can use Soul Calibur 2 stick for XBOX via magic box but it is for PS2 version.

What about the animal fighting game on gamecube (Not sure what it is called)

What about getting a Dreamcast and use it for fighting as there is load of beat them up.

Has anyone tried a PS2 to GC controller adapter? I noticed one on Play Asia. Do these work well with sticks?

Don't want to get a Dreamcast - I have enough consoles as it is.

To be honest, if you really want beat-em ups, you're gonna have to get either a Dreamcast or a PS2. The DC is pretty cheap these days, and you can get the fantastic Street Fighter III, Garou, and... well basically LOADS of great Capcom and SNK fighters.

Having said that, you could mod your XBox and stick some emulators on there. That'd sort you out for life.

I don't want to get any more consoles of this or past generations. I have an XBox and there are a few more fighters on that (hopefully DOA online might be OK) and I love SC2 so I will make do with that for the time being.

Hopefully I'll pick a better console for beat-em ups when the next generation of consoles comes out!
