I'm getting an American PS2 next week. However which game should i get? I'm into sports and racing games, but with a good carrer mode. I also like games with a good storyline? Any ideas?

If you like arcade racing games, your best bets are Burnout 2 and Ridge Racer V, both of which should be cheap. If you are after more sim-like games, Gran Turismo 3 is essential for you, and can be bought at a stupidly cheap rate from the US these days.

The US equivalent (dunno exactly what it's called...) of Shutokou Battle 01 is also worth a look. It's a sort-of "career" game.Comment

VF 4 evo, Winning eleven 8, Ridge Racer 5, and Metal gear solid is all youll need this summer!
Get them shut up and play like a demon!

For sports games it depends what you like although Virtua tennis,Pro evo 4,sega bass fishing(must have the rod) and smash court 2 would be my picks
For a mixture of sport/racing you could get ssx3 which is great
and if you need another game get soul caliber 2

How good is EA Sport's Fight Night 2004. I also quite like American Football games. Considering ESPN or NCAA.Comment

Ridge 5 is great, but I've heard rather difficult to come across the US version. Neither VG+ or Tronix have it listed. Go ebay!!Comment

Burnout 3 and GT4 are coming soon by the way, so don't rush out to get Burnout 2. You can also get GT4 Prologue already.
For storyline games: MGS2, Final Fantasy X, Arc the Lad, Suikoden 3, Xenosaga, and a few that escape me right now.Comment
