System Tray - pops up behind?

Hmmm, in XP when I place the mouse cursor over an icon in the system tray the pop-up shows behind the taskbar making it hard to read. I have all the latest updates, sometimes it displays properly and sometimes not?...

I think this is just Windows wierdness - it happens from time to time on mine. Don't think its a permanent thing. I also have strange things happen with the icon hiding - sometime there are hidden icons but no button to make them visible or the button doesn't display properly.

I also have a strange problem where the right click menu on the Windows XP start menu doesn't work (so I can't sort) but it does on the Windows Classic start menu.

And this is all on a clean install too.

Does your taskbar auto hide? Maybe that is causing the windows weirdness.

Yeah, I have it from time to time. I don't hide the taskbar, or try to fix it. It just does, possibly through rebooting.
