Noticed that there are some new features on latest version, but i'm currently dl'ing some files, some are in the halfway mark, would it kill them all off if i updated now? As i don;t wanna be starting from scratch...

I would wait until you've finished downloading. Surely its not gonna take too long and the new features aren't that great that they can't wait.
Also aren't edonkey updates in the form of a completely new version and therefore you need to uninstall and then reinstall. It might just be that I was way out of date last time I updated though

I don't think it does wipe your downloads. If you're worried but still want to update you could always backup your temp folder. I went from overnet to the new edonkey (now they got rid of overnet) without any problems concerning my downloads. I did find it slower though so I switched back to overnet.Comment
