If it's the UK you wont have much luck now seeing as selling and installing PS2 chips is illegal.

When did it become illegal? Was it only recently?

Here in Australia the same thing happened. For years Sony had tried to get them banned but failed, and then some time last year they appealed and succeeded. But you can still get it modded if you know where to look.

Search on hotbot or google and you'll find plently of uk retailers who mod,one even advertise in a certain games magazine.Alternativly you can buy a modchip and do it yourself as well,just search
