had my first proper go tonight and really got into it with the help of my total war literate housemate. It seems increidibly deep and would take many hours to scratch the surface

Been playing this for a few days now and its so much better than the original 2. I've just reached the Marius event and the Senate is starting to get wary - and they should be, if it wasnt that you're not allowed to attack Rome or other Roman factions until some event I haven't reached yet, I would now be ruler of all Italy. The only thing I dislike at the moment is the plague and popularity in cities - my largest cities are now on the verge of riot despite having massive armies stationed in them.

I think my favourite moments so far have been unleashing the dogs on just about any mission (great for going into breaches in walls to disrupt enemies and allow your infantry to come through in order), storming the walls at Carthage (siege towers are so good), and a massive siege at Thermon, where my army stole in and captured the city whilst the 2 larger armies of Brutii and Greeks smashed each other to pieces - Hoplites are deadly early on and I'm not sure I want to come up against them again even now.

i would like to request if there is no trouble to anyone.

i have a spanish version of this game but my spanish is very basic. all the text in the game is in spanish. is there a way around this to make all text to english? another thing, there is a folder called "/text" under "/data" in the installation folder. on my copy all of these are in spanish. i assume that if i replace this folder with an english version, everything would be fine. can anyone send me an english version of this folder? pls, pls, pls help me out.

friend of mine bought it in madrid whilst on holiday and gave it to me as a present for my b-day. shame really cuz it looks great if only for the spanish text.

can anyone lend me a copy of that folder? i'll try that first before i fork out a few bob on an english version...

apparently i also need the "/sounds" folder for all those spanish gibberish to become english hehe. the "/text" folder that you sent was great. all text are now in english. but dialogues are all in spanish still .

if anyone can send me the "/sounds" folder under "/data" it should now solve all my problems and i can start playing soon. but its big 650MB
