    VGA cooler + Keyboard/Mouse setup

I am wanting to make my graphics card quieter (Radeon 9800 Pro) and wondered if anyone could recommend a quiet cooling solution. I have seen some Arctic VGA silencers on ebay for under ?15 but not sure if they are worthwhile. Also, I need a decent keyboard and mouse, must be optical and a bonus would be wireless. I have seent the Logitech MX bundle on overclockers for about ?82 including delivery, however I am not sure spending too much is good I quite like the Logitech LX 500 but no one seems to sell it, the LX 501 is available but I need a black setup.

I have an Arctic Rev 4 on my 6800GT although not really having anything to compare to I can't say how good it is. I have heard though that the Arctic Rev 3 is possibly better than 4 and can be got very cheap now that 4 is coming out. All I can say is that my card is quiet and I can overclock by at least 50MHz and I think the limiting factor is voltage not heat.

I really like my MX bundle - I'm sure it didn't cost me ?82 though - Ebuyer should do it cheaper I would have thought. Could try the MX510 for a mouse - its meant to be excellent for gaming but I'm not sure how cheap it is. Anything by Logitech is excellent though imo.

I was worried when I bought my wireless kit about gaming but I have had no probs with my MX700 and I play with the sensitivity settings maxed out pretty much. I think gaming is only a problem with cheap/old wireless stuff. Unless you are a professional you will have no probs with the MX and even then I'm not so sure. I'm pretty sure the MX510 is specifically made for gaming too.

One of my mates had a Packard Bell wireless mouse and that was a PoS. The lag was stupid.

I have now problems with my wireless mouse and keyboard for gaming. I didn't notice anything different from my wired mouse.

Ordering the Logitech MX desktop then
On a suprising note, I opened up my PC as I had conencted the speaker and Com connections wrong and generally tidied up my cabling. This dropped my idle CPU temp fro 47 to 39 degrees celcius.

Yeah, airflow is important. Unless you meant the temp dropped because the case was off :P

No Stu, when the case was back on and I powered on the PC, over an hour or so the CPU temp was 10C lower than usual and still remains so. I am happy, but not sure what I have done :P
