Street Fighter Zero 3 JPN DC

    Hi

Well, after getting my DC back from my mate, i decided to test some games i have bought from the forum and elsewhere, so i decided to give a quick blast to SFz3 on DC.

Now, i have a PAL DC and used the DC-UK CD-X and that didnt work...so then i tried the Utopia boot Disk which just froze on the screen with that spinning donkey or whatever.

The Disk doesnt appear to have any scratches :\ Never had this problem before, is SFz3 a oddball game that dont boot unless its on a japan DC?

    /me checks for sale thread

I pretty much bought it for the cool cover...damn it >_< Anyone else got a pal DC and a copy of SFZ3 that they can let me know if it works on theres? ta

if you are using an rgb scart lead take it our and replace with a composite one. the game doesn't support rgb unless it is patched.

      Mine works fine with DC-X.

You may want to invest in an S-Video (Play-Asia, couple of quid) rather than composite lead to get around the RGB bug. I have to play Darkstalkers this way too...

I know what u mean about the covers: I bought the J-versions of Alpha and 3rd Strike for their art (it's scrummy).

So the game doesnt load because i have to get a composite\s-vhs lead?

Sorry, just reread my post...shouldve been a bit more clearer. The game doesnt load fullstop with the bootdisks i have used.

Anapheric (SP) so your original DC jpn version of this game works? ill go test it on jpn machine at my mates if i cant get it too work.

Vampire Chronicle, SFZ3, SSFIIX, Gigawing and a few others (all jpn.) won't work with a scart lead no matter what the console.

SFZ III for matching service should work with RGB though.

use the rf cable you got with the console and see if it boots up

might be in b&w though but at least you can check if the game works

Works with DC-X: never tried it with Utopia becuase I've never bothered with it...

Just dug this out and checked: Zero3 freezes with Utopia, works with DC-X as long as you don't run in RGB (it'll reboot, weirdly, rather than displaying in the odd blown-up quarter screen a la Vampire Chronicles). Ran fine with an S-Video lead.
