    PC to TV (RGB)

Last night after much fiddling with s-video cables, that came with my graphics card, and downloading hydravision software from the ATI website, I managed to get my TV to have its own desktop and when I selected full screen on my DVD software it would make the movie fit on my TV.

Although this was all working I don't really like the quality of s-video, plus I had to stretch out the image to make it widescreen with the TV options, decreasing quality even more.

Is there anyway to get RGB out of a 9800 Pro either through the 9 Pin Din Output (I think thats what its called anyway) or the DVI output? I would love it to be Scart, however I can also do component if I really need too. Also is there anyway to make an 9800 Pro go to widescreen TV resolution for the second resolution? I can only get it to go to 800*600.

I can't find a cable for this through searching on google or anything.

I've only managed S-VHS to scart from my lappy and like you say quality is poor, watched the odd movie ages ago but now just connect up to a good quality/bigger screen VGA monitor for better results.

        DVI-Component

I think thats the one you mean.

Looks good too, I will have a look around for a Scart one and if I can't find one then I think I will get one of those.

        Also I just found

Program to unlock any resolution you want, should do the trick. I will post to say if it works.

i think you have to do a mod to the board for Scart/rgb, probably something to do with sync, as i think they used a D-sub - Scart cable.

There is a PCI card for wiring wiring to a arcade monitor by the company that makes JPac or something like that, He had some prewired but untested scart cables for it, which could do 15hz which might be a better solution?

if you want you can wire up a vga-scart cable and use powerstrip to make it output a sensible image to tv i.e 60hz 15khz carrier, composite sync etc, however the image is normaly very "harsh"
