Sorry US Snes PSU Question.. just a quickie!

got me a US snes today, so i've read various threads on here, a few are conflicting but none the less, I gathered I can just buy a AC/DC psu..

i've bought this from argos and just wanted to make sure its fine before I juice up the snes tonight!..

Should be ok so long as it has the right polarity, can't tell from that pic and it doesn't list having reversible polarity.

IIRC is should be 9V, at least 800ma capable and negative polarity.

No, the transformer converts mains AC to DC. Polarity refers to DC - AC isn't polarised, if the polarity is wrong and you plug it in, watch the grey smoke pour out of the air vents.

There sould be a picture like this on the adapter somewhere you want it showing the outside + and the inside -

Although the US SNES has a funny plug socket on it, so how your going to plug it in is a different matter... (unless it's a Jr which I think has a Famicom like socket on it...).
