    RGB Pink Screening.

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me as I'm about to pull my hair out with frustration. I have a Joytech JS965 AV Control Centre which has worked fine since I had it except now all RGB Signals going through the box have a heavy pink tint to them. I have pushed all the scart leads firmly into the back of the unit and changed the lead from TV to JS965. It has had no effect. Do you think the JS965 is busted? I really hope not. Any ideas / solutions would be greatly received.

    Thanks
    Carl

Oh crap I hope not either - I took delivery of one a few days ago.I haven't set it up yet though.

I had a bit of a panic with my Index scart box the other day - picture was blue tinged and then pink but after pressing a few buttons (with no actual idea of what I was doing) it came right. If nothing works ring the Joytech helpline number on the back of the manual (Freephone - 0800 38 99 647) and see if you get any joy.Good luck.

Well I bypassed the AV Centre with my NTL box and the pink disappeared so its looking more likely that the darn thing has busted. Now how shall I connect all 9 scart items to my telly? Guess I'd best pay out for a professional job. Unless anyone else can solve my troubles?

The only thing I can think of right now is the Quintro 5-scart box but it's around a hundred quid I think and Ive heard quite a few complaints about it.

I saw a few others here:

        Also one here:

And here: http://www.keene.co.uk/system/keene.htm (dont think link worked - just do a search from there)

I really dont think a 9-scart box exists or,if it does,it would cost a truly obscene amount of moolah.

You could just use 3 Index (littlewoods) scarts - you'd need 3 of them of course.I have 2 of them Daisy-chained at the mo and they work great.Whats not so great is faffing about with the switches as and when the need arises because they're manual of course but at least they're cheap! - a tenner each - and they work, for me anyway.

Shame about the Joytech - isn't it under warranty though?

EDIT:I just checked and Index do the Quintro for eighty.Ive seen complaints as I've said but it seems a very popular choice nonetheless.Same could be said for your Joytech box I suppose - a lot of people seem to have got one through word-of-mouth recommendation (as did I).How long have you had yours btw?

Well I hope its under guarantee. I fired off an email to Play so I'm just awaiting a reply. I had it since Feb. The best advice I can give regarding it is to switch it off when not in use. It never got warm but I have left it on unnecessarily quite a bit, which may have helped it on its way out. Well on Sunday I'm going for total uplugging of everything so maybe then I will find out what the problem is. I'll keep you informed.

I hope they dont just tell you to ring that number

Ive never dealt with PLAY - no idea what their like (got mine from Gameseek).

And it shouldn't matter whether you left it on or not.If it IS faulty you should be entitled to a replacement anyway.Good luck.

P.S. have you tried asking on AV forums about this?May be worth a try.Quite a few guys there use a Joytech box.

If you're talking about Play.com they're rubbish at replying to e-mails... you need to phone 'em and even then they'll be evasive.

As far as I know if you purchased your equipment this year it'll still be under the statuary 12-month warranty you get as law with new purchases (excluding certain things like clothing etc).
