World Combat / Warzaid

I was watching someone play Konami's Warzaid earlier today at the arcade and was suprised to see that the guy was shooting at skeletons in soldiers costumes!

I've played this game in Japan under the title of World Combat and i'm almost sure that i was shooting at 'normal' soldiers and not the undead. However i've had a quick look on the net and can't find anything to say that its been censored / altered for its western release, so i'm starting to doubt my memory

Can anyone confirm that its been changed or am i getting senile??

Ironically enough, I saw the name of this when doing some research into Warzard. And yep, there are references to Skeletons. From GameFAQs:

3) Enemies:

-Normal Enemies:

--Skeleton: Your normal skeleton. Some hold rifles, some grenades, some
pistols, and other knifes. They die in one shot, so it is quite easy
and stress reliving to kill them.

--Elite Soldiers: They are just like any normal skeletons, dying with
only one shot. However, they move faster and carry all sorts of
weapons, such as the one in stage 2.2, where they carry everything a
normal skeleton will carry. They dress in white, and are the "Bosses"
of their stage (Stage 2.2 and Stage 8 )
