Need to play PAL Gamecube games through S-Video!

I have a bunch of PAL Gamecube games I need to play through an S-Video connection. (don't ask...)

As you know PAL Gamecubes had S-Video compatibility removed.

    Will this work:

    1. Buy NTSC (US or JP) Gamecube
    2. hook up via S-Video
    3. boot PAL60-compatible games via Freeloader

I know PAL50 games are unlikely to work as they will be black&white, but most of the games I'm talking about support PAL60.

Can someone confirm that this plan is OK to go, before I purchase an NTSC Gamecube for this purpose?

    thanks

I connected my US GC for ages thru S-Video before getting an rgb lead,so yes it does work fine.

EDIT: oops, read your post wrong. Can't see any reason why that won't work. It's the machine forcing the display, not the software in this case. I think you're worried that it would be the same situation as Prog Scan, but that works in a different way (the machine doesn't have PS as a 'native' resolution - there's a DAC chip in the Prog San lead itself, and the games are encoded to use this. I think I've got that right ).
