O no another Xbox live thread

Ive never bothered with Live, but with outrun 2 on the way its a whole different story.

My xbox is modded with a executer 2.2? i can boot it with either an evox dash or MS's Dash. And ive got a locked 120gb drive installed.

Ive read various places that say you can and cannot use a large HD with live. Xbox-scene say you can, the post on there is dated May though.

So i would just like to confirm that im ok to play Live on a modded xbox with a larger HD (aslong as i switch the modchip to boot the Ms dash).

Probably been answered a 100 times, but things change with time so i dont want to trust an old thread.

Im also guessing im ok to change the region through the evox dash, then return to the MS dash to play different region games? As its wrote to the eeprom not the HD?

I have the Xecuter 2.2, EvoX/MS dash, Maxtor 120GB HD packed full of **** - and I'm still playing Live

It's absolutely fine to change the region - my PAL Xbox is set to US atm and it's never complained about me using American Live games. Just make sure you lock the HD again though

one question which is probably easy what app do you use to unlock and lock the HD?

I have used config magic final to lock/unlock the xbox drive

Config Magic here too. Can be scary first time, but it automatically backs up your EEPROM which is nice of it.

ta guys, tried config magic but my HD was already locked, tried Live and works fine (just got to sort out my firewall now)
