Can someone recommend me a good DVD-R media?

As above...

I know that not all DVD-R media are the same (due to the colour of dye). I don't wanna burn any coasters as I wanna back up some of my DVD's but at the same time I don't want to be paying over the top for DVD-R's...

Can anyone recommend me some?

Also where is the cheapest place for DVD-R's online?

I'm wanting to buy 25-50 and I don't need them any faster than 4x but I'll probably be burning at 1x anyway as what I'm backing up is for myself.

I got some good Memorex ones a while nback from Play and the price wasn't bad considering it was good media. Prices should have come down now I would have hoped. They are 4x ones which is annoying as I now have a 12x drive.

i think they are but you say your only burning at 4x so the 4x discs will be ok for you

I've not had a single failure with Sony DVD-Rs. In fact, I've not had any problems with some PC World own-brand DVD-Rs either. Much to my surprise....

Yeah ritek G4 or whatever dye is the best kind of dye for any dvdr so get that
